About Margaret

Margaret is an author, illustrator, and family photo curator living in Lower Manhattan. Her work combines a personal passion for archiving with the visual storytelling skills she honed over nearly two decades in brand marketing.

An avid traveler, Margaret and her family spent 2019 criss-crossing the globe on a family sabbatical, visiting 29 countries and six continents. She wrote all about it in her recent travel memoir Following The Sun: Tales (and Fails) From a Year Around the World With Our Kids.

Before saying goodbye to corporate life, Margaret was a partner at WPP's marketing and branded content agency Group SJR, where she designed storytelling campaigns on behalf of clients like TED, Target, Disney, and USAID.

A native of Washington, DC, Margaret is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and holds a Masters in French from Middlebury College. When she's not busy writing about herself in the third person, she can be found exploring New York City and the wider world with her husband and two children, drawing and taking pictures as she goes.
